Your language preference and cached outbreak data are stored locally in your browser's localStorage only — nothing is sent to our servers. Basic access logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) may be retained by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, for security and performance purposes.

• Caching outbreak data locally so the map loads faster on return visits.

• MapLibre GL JS / OpenStreetMap tiles — open-source map rendering. Tile requests may be logged by the tile provider.

We do not use advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics platforms such as Google Analytics.

Data Sources

Outbreak data is sourced from publicly available reports published by the World Health Organization (WHO), the CDC, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), PAHO, and national health ministries. No private or patient-level data is ever collected or displayed.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS via Cloudflare. No user accounts, login forms, or payment flows exist on this website. There is no backend database storing personal information.
